Intervista a VASIF NAMAZOV, fondatore dell’ALPAGUT Martial Art.
- Maestro Namazov, nel 2014 hai fondato una nuova arte marziale, l’ALPAGUT. Da dove nasce questo progetto e quali sono gli obiettivi?
Si tratta di un’arte marziale moderna, le cui radici risalgono all’antichità. Dalla sintesi dell’antica arte marziale dei popoli turchi con i moderni tipi di arti marziali, abbiamo l’Alpagut. Fu nella grande steppa che l’arte marziale si sviluppò ad alto livello. Lo stile di vita delle tribù nomadi assumeva una costante prontezza al combattimento, e questo riguardava non solo gli uomini, ma anche le donne. Fin dall’infanzia, gli antichi nomadi turchi hanno imparato ad usare l’arco e la spada, cacciare, combattere, svilupparsi sia fisicamente che spiritualmente. Morire non sul campo di battaglia, ma a letto significava per i nomadi turchi che il “Grande Cielo” non avrebbe accettato la loro anima. La loro forza risiedeva principalmente nella loro visione del mondo e nel loro forte spirito. L’Alpagut è un’antica arte marziale turca con i suoi canoni, tradizioni e filosofia.
- Quali sono le caratteristiche di questo sport da combattimento? Cosa è incluso nel concetto?
In primo luogo, il Tengrianismo (l’antica religione dei turchi), che presuppone la fede in un unico Dio, indipendentemente dalla religione. In secondo luogo, la gerarchia dell’antica disciplina turca. In terzo luogo, un complesso di tecniche di base adattate a quasi tutti i tipi di arti marziali del nostro tempo. L’Alpagut permette di combattere in vari stili e tecniche. Cioè, un atleta che fa Karate può usare simultaneamente tecniche di Judo, ecc. C’è una scelta molto ampia.
- In passato, quali esperienze hai avuto nelle arti marziali?
Da bambino ho praticato lotta e pugilato nel 1992-1994, Kyokushin nel 1995-1998 e cyudo e sambo. In generale, il combattimento corpo a corpo mi ha sempre interessato. Per questo motivo, dopo il servizio militare, dal 2002 ho fatto molta esperienza negli sport di contatto come Ashihara Karate, Enshhin Karate, TsushinGen, Sayokan e Mixed Martial Arts. Nel 2008 ho iniziato a fare ricerche sulle antiche arti marziali turche e ho deciso di creare un nuovo concetto di arti marziali. L’Alpagut ha origine dalla cultura marziale dei popoli turchi, quindi il marchio “Turan Martial Arts” (Turan: patria dei popoli turchi) è molto significativo. La scelta del nome ha una spiegazione ben precisa: nell’antichità “Alpagut” era un titolo assegnato ai guerrieri che si distinguevano per il loro coraggio e, pertanto, godevano di un rispetto speciale. “Alpagut” è composto dalle parole “alp” (guerriero) e “gut” (santo), che significa “guerriero sacro“.
- Qual è l’attuale livello di sviluppo dell’Alpagut e della World Alpagut Federation?
La World Alpagut Federation (WAF) è un’organizzazione sportiva internazionale con sede a Baku, capitale dell’Azerbaijan, ufficialmente registrata nel 2014. Appena ho fondato il Sistema e l’ho presentato al pubblico, molti paesi si sono subito interessati. La World Alpagut Federation, il cui presidente è Nizami Jafarov, membro del parlamento azerbaigiano, ha rappresentanze ufficiali in 47 paesi del mondo. In questi 8 anni abbiamo organizzato tre Campionati Euroasiatici, due Mondiali, due Mondiali. E quest’anno stiamo preparando il terzo Campionato del Mondo. Abbiamo anche il canale YouTube “Alpagut TV” che contiene molti video.
- Che impressione ha avuto dell’ultimo campionato mondiale di Alpagut svoltosi a Baku nel 2019?
Nel 2019 Alpagut aveva 5 anni. Come risultato del nostro lavoro in questo breve lasso di tempo, 24 paesi hanno partecipato al campionato mondiale di Baku. In effetti per noi è stato un grande successo ed abbiamo attirato l’attenzione del mondo. Attualmente c’è un grande interesse per l’Alpagut. Il numero delle nostre rappresentanze ufficiali cresce ogni anno.
- Quali sono i progetti Alpagut per l’Europa e, in particolare, per l’Italia?
Francamente, lo sviluppo di Alpagut in Europa è un compito molto importante per noi. Perché è uno dei continenti più sviluppati al mondo e qui vengono realizzati molti grandi progetti. In questo senso, vogliamo creare la Federazione Europea Alpagut e vediamo l’Italia come il centro di questo progetto, quindi intendiamo tenere qui seminari e competizioni internazionali. Del resto l’Italia non è solo uno dei centri culturali più importanti d’Europa, ma del mondo intero. In particolare, vorrei sottolineare che gli ottimi rapporti tra l’Azerbaigian e l’Italia ci danno grandi opportunità in tal senso. Spero che con il rappresentante ufficiale della World Alpagut Federation in Italia, avvocato Vittorio Giorgi, apprezzeremo queste opportunità. Ha idee molto costruttive e innovative.
- In conclusione, ci dica almeno due validi motivi per cui gli atleti esperti negli sport da combattimento dovrebbero partecipare ad una competizione dell’Alpagut.
Sul piano tecnico, l’ALPAGUT consiste in 4 Sistemi di combattimento agonistico Aycha, Batur, Jaymaz e Kurshak, più un sistema di Difesa personale, Kachut. E’ caratterizzato da 8 METODI BASE: • Yumruk – tecnica del pugno • Tepuk – tecnica dei calci • Tecniche di Aycha – Luna crescente • Atysh – tecnica di lancio • Badalag – tecnica di scatto • Bagdamag – tecniche del dolore • Boguchan – tecniche di soffocamento • Coruy – Tecniche Difensive. Gli atleti potranno, quindi, competere con successo nei sistemi di combattimento più adatti alle proprie abilità.
Sul piano spirituale, l’Alpagut ha un profondo significato filosofico e di visione del mondo, esprime la visione culturale del mondo degli antichi popoli guerrieri che vivevano nelle regione della grande steppa e fornisce l’accesso alla cultura globale dell’antico cultura del guerriero turco, con profonde radici filosofiche e mistiche. Questo particolare concetto di arti marziali, incarnando la filosofia etnoculturale e multiculturale, forma nei bambini un senso di orgoglio nazionale, rispetto e amore per la madrepatria e lo stato, nonché amicizia tra i popoli.
Interview with VASIF NAMAZOV, founder of Alpagut Martial Art.
1) Master Namazov, in 2014 you founded a new martial art, the ALPAGUT. Where does this project come from and what are the objectives?
This is a modern martial art, the roots of which go back to antiquity. By synthesizing the ancient martial art of the Turkic peoples with modern types of martial arts, the martial art of Alpagut was obtained. It was in the great steppe that the martial art developed on a high level. the way of life of nomadic tribes assumed constant combat readiness, and this concerned not only men, but also women. From childhood, the ancient Turkic nomads learned to shoot from a bow, hunt, fight, fight with a sword, develop themselves both physically and spiritually. To die not on the battlefield, but in bed meant for the Turkic nomad that the “Great Sky” would not accept their soul. Their strength lay primarily in their worldview and strong spirit. Alpagut is an ancient Turkic martial art with its own canons, traditions and philosophy.
2) What are the characteristics of this combat sport?
What is included in the concept?
Firstly, Tengrianism (the ancient religion of the Turks), which presupposes belief in a single God, regardless of religion. Secondly, the hierarchy of ancient Turkic discipline. Thirdly, a complex of basic techniques adapted to almost all types of martial arts of our time. Alpagut allows, what makes it interesting in principle, to fight in different styles and techniques. That is, an athlete, doing Karate, can simultaneously use Judo techniques, etc. There is a very wide choice for development here.
3) In the past, what experiences have you had in martial arts?
As a child, I was involved in wrestling, boxing in 1992-1994, Kyokushin Karate in 1995-1998, and cyudo and sambo at the same time. In general, hand-to-hand combat has always been interesting to me. For this reason, after my military service, since 2002, I have gained experience in workshops on contact types Ashihara Karate, Enshhin Karate, TsushinGen, Sayokan and Mixed Martial Arts. In 2008, I started researching ancient Turkic martial arts and decided to create a new concept of martial arts.
Finally, in 2014, as a result of my research, I studied the ancient martial arts of the Turkic peoples, reflecting the ancient martial culture of the Turkic peoples. I announced the establishment of his art.
This martial art, called Alpagut, originated from the martial culture of the Turkic peoples, so the brand Turan Martial Arts was put. (Turan: homeland of Turkic peoples). The purpose of choosing this brand is to demonstrate that Alpagut belongs to all Turkic peoples.
So why Alpagut?
Because in ancient times “Alpagut” was a title awarded to warriors who distinguished themselves by their courage. Alpagut enjoyed special respect and left a significant mark in the combat culture of the Turkic peoples. “Alpagut” consists of the words “alp” (warrior) and “gut” (saint), which means “Holy warrior“.
4) What is the current level of development of the Alpagut and the World Alpagut Federation?
The World Alpagut Federation (WAF) is an international sports organization seated in Baku, that was officially registered in 2014 with the aim of developing this martial art. As soon as I founded the system and introduced it to the public, many countries immediately became interested in it. The World Alpagut Federation, whose president is Nizami Jafarov, member of the Azerbaijani parliament, Federation has official representations in 47 countries of the world. During these 8 years we have organized three Euro-Asian Championships, two World Cups, two World Championships. And this year we are preparing to hold the third World Championship.
5) What impression did you have of the last Alpagut World Championship held in Baku in 2019?
In 2019, Alpagut was 5 years old. As a result of our work in this short period of time, 24 countries participated in the World championship in Baku. In fact, it was a great success for us. We were able to draw the world’s attention to Alpagut. Currently, there is great interest in the Alpagut. The number of our official representations is growing every year.
6) What are the Alpagut projects for Europe and, in particular, for Italy?
Frankly, the development of Alpagut in Europe is a very important task for us. Because it’s one of the most developed continents in the world, and many serious projects are being implemented here. In this sense, we are very interested in the creation of the European Alpagut Federation and we see Italy as the center of this project, so we intend to hold international competitions and seminars here. After all, Italy is not only one of the largest cultural centers in Europe, but throughout the world. In particular, I would like to note that the excellent relations between Azerbaijan and Italy give us great opportunities for this. I hope that with the official representative of the World Alpagut Federation in Italy, Mr. Vittorio Giorgi, we will appreciate these opportunities. He has very constructive and innovative ideas.
